
Hailing from the Crescent City, EARPHUNK has emerged as one of the premier jam acts in the Southeast. The quintet has been steadily building a rabid fan base across the United States with their brand of high-energy funk, inspired improvisation, and dynamic stage production. EARPHUNK has performed in more than 40 cities over the past 12 months, including performances at Wakarusa Music Festival, Bear Creek Music Festival, and The Purple Hatters Ball, and sharing the stage with Galactic, Big Gigantic, Toubab Krewe, Ivan Nevilleʼs Dumpstaphunk, Zoogma, Perpetual Groove, Break Science & Chali 2NA, Big Samʼs Funky Nation, and Rubblebucket.
In Spring 2012, as a followup to their debut LP, Cominʼ Up, EARPHUNK announced plans for three consecutive EP releases before the end of the 2012, with tours across the United States in support of each release. The first of three EPʼs in the Extended Play series will be released on April 13th, 2012 at One Eyed Jackʼs in New Orleans, LA. In between stops on the road, the band will be take time off in some of the finest studios in the country, continuing to record and build a catalog of material that will be released as a part of the upcoming EPʼs in the Extended Play series and will be performed at shows in cities around the country.
To cap off 2012, the band plans to release a Live Album and DVD featuring material from the Extended Play series. Limited edition physical copies of each release will be made available. The Extended Play series will be made available for free download at earphunk.com.
