Voodoo Town (pronounced /ˈvoʊduː toun/ or /ˈvuːduː toun/) is an original trio based out of New Orleans with an unmatched sound that fuses elements of jazz, funk, hip-hop and electronic music. After playing in various acts in and around New Orleans separately Trace, Tom and Brandon discovered that together they created a new and unique sound. The trio comes together to produce an atmosphere that is guaranteed to please any crowd and keep the party going until the end of time.
Voodoo Town started at the intersection of Decatur and Frenchmen Streets in the “Big Easy” A.K.A. New Orleans, Louisiana. Three musicians striving to find ‘The trio’ to let them innovate their passion in various music genres. Voodoo Town is a downtown band, meaning we all live downtown, we are part of the downtown music scene, most of our listeners/fans are downtown. Our music is inspired by life in the French Quarter and surrounding neighborhoods. The sweet sounds of Trace’s trumpet with effects pedals, Tom’s funky gritty sounding bass, and Brandon’s energetic drum approach, Voodoo Town delivers at a venue for hours at a time.
Since December 2010, Voodoo Town plays venues locally and nationally. After recording their debut album, Come Out and Play, Voodoo Town, is now the talk of the town. In New Orleans, you can catch Voodoo Town at the House of Blues Foundation Room, Igor’s Check Point Charlie, The Dragon’s Den, The Spotted Cat, The Three Muses, as well as other venues in New Orleans.
